MOBFC (Samuel, Yiming, Mitch) 3 - 1 (some..i duno hu) Simon's Team

MOBFC cruised to yet another fantastic victory. A sunny morning to cap off a remarkable performance by the WHOLE team..for once. The passing was sublime, finishes, (maybe juz one) were fantastic and most importantly, the whole team worked together. Any critic would be awed by the making of the next Singapore's Arsenal. (as much as we hate the team)

The match started off and there was no trouble at all for MOB in breaking open ST's loose defence and it all started off in the starting stages. MOB attacked in numbers, moving forward as a team. Excitement filled everyone as Samuel was able to hold off about 2 or 3 defenders on him, n unleased a 20 metre screamer from outside the penalty box into the back of the ST net. The team was esctatic with the first goal, and provided all the confidence needed for the next attack.

It came when David's fantastic curling shot was tipped over the bar by the ST keeper. Lucky ass.
ST's passing was nothing comparable to that of MOB's. Passes from them were all intercepted by the tight and reliable centre midfield consisting of Yiming, Jonathan and Gary. If there was though, any attack that went through that midfield, the fantastic lynchpin duos of Mitch and Irvin was there to STAMP a stop on any attempt. Goalie MinJie enjoyed the blue skies of the day with nothing much to trouble him.

Zhi Yang made regular runs down the flank, and one of his crosses got to Zac but the ST defense scuffled with it and it was cleared. FOR NOW. there was fantastic teamwk all over the field, and evry1 did a very good job. Even the NEVER-passing Sam passed. New wing-backs Aloy and David were ever vigilant, and were very active in cooperating with the flankers to start attacks.

Half time saw the substitution of the 2 wingbacks that did a fantastic job but were brot of fresh short legs of Raymond, and Brian.

The next goal came after half-time when Yiming held of his marker and unleashed a shot that went toward the left corner of the net but somehow hit the post. the ST keeper tried to save it, but it hit him n went in. Yiming celebrated the 'fantastic' goal like it was his own. wel..yea it was. puahaha!! There was good play in the defence where Irvin was absolutely superb, sliding in to prevent breakthroughs. Shi Hao was then brot off with a cramp injury after a sublime slide by Irvin. The offside trap worked wonderfully well and the ref did do some good calls.
Yiming had another chance when Zhi Yang's persistence saw a cross come in but Yiming, obviously heightened ah i mean...frightened by the defender's presence could only head it wide. He short ah i mean should haf done a better job.

Samuel and Zac's playmaking was good and Mitch was able to obtain a breakthru but could only shoot wide. The third goal for MOB came after a freekick was awarded about 35 m from the goal. Yiming faked past the ball and Gary absolutely superb lofting chip fell to Mitch who controlled fantastically and poked it past Chandra, the sub keepr.

MOB dominated posession and ST were left chasing balls like monkeys. It was revenge for MOB, as ST beat them 8-0 before back at Upper Court. They were obviously stunned by the fantastic improvement in MOB. So boys, the training and committment finally paid off.

ST did haf a couple of chances when there was a penalty and also a one-on-one situation where the speedy CB mitch was able to turn around and clear it off the line. The penalty was awarded after Shihao was felled by Irvin in the box. Irvin lost his temperament in the situation, and luckily Yi Sheng's penalty went wide at the left post. (aaaaah waaaaang waaaaang waaaaang paid off eh yiming!) Irvin was spared the humiliation.

But a consolation goal came from ST when there was bad passing at the back by YIming who had fallen back to defend and the no. 6 was able to pull one back, but it was just too late..and just impossible to get back into a game with MOB.

MOB fought till the very end and had chances of making it 5 or 6 up when Mitch had a one-on-one after a failed offside trap by ST(argh duno how to do dun do lar hahahaha) but could only try to OLE the keeper and shot straight into him. Can't blame him though, keeper's kinda big.

Lads, i canoot express my happiness at how the team has improved in the teamwk. Special thanks to Zac who came in as coach and drilled us..wel..u noe wot i mean, in the..erm..field..and had good training regimes. Everyone did very well today, and no words can adequately do justice as to how proud i am of all of you. But..ST, an old rival is now NOTHING. we stil have to conquer teams like the Golden Balls argh Boys..and i am sure..VERY sure we can do like we did against ST. Keep it up lads.
