MOBFC
MOB's losing streak continued as they crumbled to a 5-3 defeat at Lalaland to MKFC.
The match started off with MOB at a numerical disadvantage as Raymond and Sam arrived 5 mins after kick off. In this 5 mins, MKFC took the lead with virtually the 1st touch of the ball as Marcus ran down the 3-man defence and hooked in for Bernard to put away.
0-1.
MOB, obviously shocked by this early goal down looked to get back but was hit with another goal, when a free kick was conceded outside the pen. area. Dangerous as always, it went in and MOB went 2 goals down in the opening 10 minutes. geez i cant belif it.
0-2.
MKFC seemed the better side in the 1st half, most of the time pumping long balls up to their strikers to chase and catch, while MOB was playing more conservatively, trying to string passes together, trying to get a hold on the game. Raymond and Samuel den stepped in and MOB launched their 1st attack as Samuel got a brilliant cross into Zac Loo in the centre but the header went into the keeper's arms.
MOB, playing more comfortably now with Mitch and Irvin in central defence, and Joel stepping in at RB for Aloy and Raymond in the familiar left back berth. In midfield, Jon and Zac came in the centre with Sam on the left and Zhi Yang wide out on the right. Leading the strike force was Desmond and Zac Loo. Min Jie had yet to make a save even though MOB had conceded 2 goals.
Now the MKFC attacks seemed to be breaking down as MOB got more of a grip in the match. Passes around defence were nervous but successful, and pretty soon MOB did most of the attacking. Desmond provided a constant threat with his brilliant dribbling and the crosses from the right that came in toward Zac looked dangerous, but never reali reached him.
Things got heated up (AS ALWAYS) as zhi yang dribbled the ball over the erm. ahem. "line" and was blown back(by the ref..............'s whistle of cos) and appealed because the line wasnt clear. The whole MKFC team exploded somehow and no. 17 (woteva his name is) did most of the arguing like his life depended on the direction of the throw in or wether it was out or in and screamed his lungs out. Zhi yang brushed his protests aside but he got more agitated and looked like he would...(we were pplaying in a madhouse) ..wel the ref sorted things out.
MKFC depended alot on their long ball tactic but that backfired after a while as Sam got another brilliant cross in from a nice build up and Mitch came in and headed home.
2-1.
Now MOB had smelt blood (oh whr did i get tt) and looked to upturn the early lead from MK and grab a vital win to end their losing streak. But all this wasnt meant to be as a 3rd goal went in because of a sleeping defence as Marcus, who was maybe the best player in the MK side threaded a ball thru to Nicholas who put it past Min Jie.
3-1.
Halftime came and the teams trudged off to applause from the MK side. thank you..thank you. yea clap when ur winning eh.
halftime..
After halftime MK kicked off and lanched another long shot that Min jie dealt with very nicely. Desmond was stil irritating the MK defence as he weaved and dribbled his way around them but failed really to create any good goal scoring oppurtunities. The crosses from Zhi Yang's side were stil coming in, but they failed to reach Zac Loo.
Another goal scoring oppurtunity came for MOB as Mitch connected with a zhi yang corner but could only head wide. That got the madmen screaming.
MKFC were not winning the ball as much already in the 2nd half, and it looked like a change of formation in MOB had done the trick. The defence line was shuffled around as Mitch went up to lead the attack with Zac Loo while Desmond came in to Sam's left wing booth (ok tt sounds wrong) and Sam partnered Zac Cheam in central midfield. At the back, Irvin was moved more to the right while Jon and Raymond were now drafted in to hold the back line. Joel moved over to the left.
Injured Chua Yiming looked on from the sidelines as MOB struggled to come back against MKFC.
And they did, as Mitchell connected again with a lofted cross from Jon from a freekick outside the area, maybe 40 yards and Mitch put in the goal.
2-3.
MKFC imploded after the goal as their own teammates started screaming at each other. (tt never happened to us now..erm. did it?)
MKFC now looked weary but they were stil providing constant threats with the neverending energy of their strikers. Min Jie was forced into a brilliant punching save, putting his body on the line to push away a bouncing ball that the Fat Ass would have headed. (wuda gone out anyway)
The Fat ass was then booked for screaming out at Samuel after a slight collision.
Many cards came after that also, as Jon was booked for tripping the MK flanker. Wel, tts juz one. i cant rembr the rest though. but i knw mitch was also booked in the opening minutes.
Disaster befell or befalled or something MOB again as a penalty was conceded by Irvin after a soft challenge on the MK flanker. he somehow went down and a penalty was given the the ref. The guy-who-got-really-upset-over-a-throw-in took the penalty wich took a VERY VERY lucky bounce over Min Jie who had dived the right side but failed to predict the bounce of the ball. What a classsy penalty. The guy-who-got-really-upset-over-a-throw-in-and-scored-a-lucky-penalty was so happy with himself. lets give it up for him shall we. what a brilliant penalty from the World Class guy-who-got...bla bla bla. ok enuff of him geeziz christ he pissed me off orite.
2-4.
MOB started to get rough as Zac committed numerous fouls on Marcus but was let off numerous times. Frustration seemed to be setting in, but the play was still good as MOB played pretty offensive football. Desmond was STILL causing problems and panic at the back with his curvey wurvey dribbling that at least got the ball somewhere.
MOB then got a little lucky with another goal as Zac finally opened his account for MOB after popping a ball in toward Mitch who distracted the keeper, and the ball bounced nicely over his head and into goal. well, lets give zac the benefit of the doubt if he said he meant to do that. Finally a goal for Zac! but celebrations were muted as Mitch lay injured after smashing himself into the post and scraping his shin.
The importance of numerical equality of both teams surfaced again (wow. now whr'd i get that) as MK again scored as MOB were one man down, Mitch sitting out for a while to lick his wound. ergh yuck. But the MK player (i 4got his name pardon me) ran into the box to strike a corner wich evaded evry1 and went in.
That goal, virtually the last touch of the game killed off MOB.
3-5 (final)
Post match comments
Guys, seriously guys. We coulda won this game 3-2. Juz look at the shitty scrappy soft goals we conceded. The 1st one, ok, we'l blame it on the numerical disadvantage, but this excuse only serves to tel the other team their not as gd as they think they are. Its not their problem our players came late, furthermore we agreed to start with 9 men. So, ok, we were sleeping for the 1st goal.
2nd unlikely goal, the freekick. We gota do abit of training for Min Jie's jumping because the freekick was watched by Min jie, but it juz flew over him. With experience, that could haf been punched away.
3rd unlikely goal, the penalty. Well, this things happen in soccer. we'l take a bit of the blame of Irvin, as he genuinely wanted the ball, and got the ball. Whether the guy dived or not, tts not v impt. The ref was in a postn that said PENALTY, irvin tripped him from the back, its a penalty. and the way it went in its not as though the guy did a Zidane or something. Look at the shitty way he took it. wel he got really lucky i gues. hell. y arent we ever dis lucky. bastard.
I gues the fact that we tried and tried and tried to get back in the game but kept going down again after getting a goal back kinda disappointed us. But overall we put a fair fight. Im sure if we take em on again we'd win. Things wud be different. wel, i will arrange a 2nd leg. There, we'l show em how lucky they can get.
thanks for Desmond and Zac Loo for coming in for us, appreciate it. would reli be pleased if u guys could join us again.
MOBFC 2 (Mitch x 2) Church Team 2 (Mike, Chris)
Another disappointing draw for the Mobbers at Marina Bay as they came back from 1-0 down to take the lead, only for the Church Team to take it away with a freak penalty near the end.
Game started off on time, with MOB with 9 players as Raymond and Joel were on their way. MOB was playing a little better with 9 people at the moment, maybe bcs of the handicap and thus a bit more confidence and a better willpower to take a lead. MOB stroked the ball at ease around in midfield, with occasional lapses, particularly from Zhi Yang who wasnt having the best of first halves and gave away posession. Breaks from both teams spiced up the match but Zhi Yang was caught offside a few times, as with Mitch in e front.
MOB was playing thru the centre most of the time, Mitch up front alone with the wings covering into the middle.
Things got exciting as Mitch got free at the front but could only skew his shot over the crosbar. Yiming was also thru on goal at one time, but cud also only whack his shot wide at the right post.
Another moment of suspense came as MOB's offside trap failed and the Church Team burly striker, Mike came in on goal but Min Jie was able to come out fast enough to take it away to safety.
Zhi Yang's form worsened in the 1st half when Zac, thru on goal passed it on to him and he screwed up and whacked the ball over to the other flank just behind Gary. (geeziz christ wot e fuck was going on in my mind at e time man. sorry guys. sorry zac. farked. coulda taken a fucking shot.)
Joel and Raymond den came on after a while in e 1st half, and Joel made an unfortunate impact by giving away a freekick just outside the penalty area. The CT player curled the ball into the area for Mike to head in, leaving Min Jie stranded on the spot.
1-0
The whistle goes for halftime.
On with the second half, MOB look to get back from one goal down. Posession is won back easily by Sam and Gary in the start of the half, and a bit of slick passing down the middle and left. Jon, havving a very good game with Yiming and Sam in the centre was the defensive rock (sounds kinda kinky eh.) at the back, coming in for Irvin as CB.
MOB finally equalise as Jon, again with a fantastic thru pass in the middle finds Zhi Yang, who is able to run onto the pass and get it in for Mitch, who just about pokes it pass the lunging keepr and its 1-1.
The CT den created chances again, as Mike lashed a shot just wide of Min Jie's right hand post.
MOB, very much faster than the veteran Church Team look more capable of taking the lead in the second half, as Gary and Mitch are sent thru on various occasions but none of them lead to anything.
But MOB's efforts pay off finaally as Gary(wassit him?) lobs in a great pass from the centre of midfield to Mitch who shows fantastic technique in the control with the thigh and chipped it over the keepr into an empty net. Great piece of skill by Mitch and a brilliant finish.
Good play by MOB: 2-1
MOB now have the lead, but its not over as CT have many chances trying to take the equaliser. Chris heads against the crossbar from a corner and scares the shit outta MOB. We cant lay back people.
MOB still continue attacking and Gary finds space in the middle and tries to thread the ball into Zhi Yang, who never expected it and ran too much in front of it. Another screwd missed chance.
The weather gets more and more heated up in the second half, but the two teams are showing not much signs of exhaustion. The chances keep coming, MOB threading passes around pretty nicely.
However, things turned around for them when CT, having a throw in on their right side got the ball in, but the uneven ground on the Marina Bay field bounced the ball onto Zac's arm and very very unfortunately gave away a penalty. Appeals in vain as the ref points to the spot, and Chris steps up to finish it with a firm shot pass Min Jie, going the other way.
A hard earned lead taken away with a very freaky unfortunate penalty. But there reli wasnt anything any1 cud have done to prevent the ref giving the penalty.
2-2
Mitch and Yiming both should have given MOB the lead when Yiming was in the midst of a penalty area mix up but volleyed just over the bar. As for Mitch, sometimes, this kind of misses in soccer u classify under...THE X FILES.
Through on goal by a pass from Gary, and with only the keeper to beat, Mitch tries to place his shot near post but somehow, SOMEHOW, the ball just refused to go into the net, going just wide at the post. Disappointment thruout the field as the referee calls time and the players trudged off.
Ok guys, dun worry. i wud say our attack was very good today, maybe not in the 1st half, oh and i very sincerely apologise for the chances i shud have finished. fuck man i duno wot e heck was gg on up thr. sorry guys. as for the penalty, well, it reli was freak anyway. it was ball to hand so Zac, aint ya fault yea.
On to defence, well, at times we were solid back thr, taking risky chances thouugh, with the offside trap. But overrall, very good performance, we're doing more passing, and Sam is kinda losing his showboat shit... and Sam. that's a good thing. keep it up. pass pass pass.
OK guys, clinical finishing, posession, passing. Next official match 7am next sat at St wilfred. There might be a frenli against 4E1 Montfort on Wed at training, just keep urself posted here ok. See ya guys!
hey duudes..erm next time thrs a message telling you about training..please reply whether you are coming or you aint. even if you are i'd expect a 'ok' or positive sound like JYEEAAH!! or MMPPPHHH!!! or UURGRGHH!!! ..if not..juz say no or fuck off or something. but..come on guys. i need some response.
oh and..wot e hells happenin to every1? i dun haf ppl coming in for training anymore. latest excuse was going for kovan training. come on, that's like 5 times a week, surely u haf a bit of committment to MOB to at least gif up wed to come for MOB training? the ones who came last wed amounted to 4. Joel, Irvin, Sam and I. We're reli disappointed about the absence.
True, we cant force you to stay at MOB or anything and we cant force you to come. But isn't there enough team spirit and committment in you to at least COME for training regularly? we didn't force you to come in the team, and we aint gona force you to stay.
but just know this. I WANT MOB TO WORK, and MOB is not a one-player team. Noone is irreplaceable in the team, we will keep going even if you choose to leave.
MOB 3 (Weiliang (og.), Jasper, Zhi Yang) SB Team 1 (Jonathan...like wtf rite?)
After a long period of match drought, MOB showed yet again that true class is permanent and that true violence wil prevail. MOB beat a resilient SB side after a hot encounter which was called off with a few minutes left for the match.
MOB started off with new signing Jasper in a strikeforce with Brian, Yiming and Gary and Zac in central, Sam and Zhi Yang down the flanks, and a defensive four of Aloy, Irvin, Joel and Raymond. Mitchell had to stand in as MOB keeper bcs of an ankle injury and also bcs Min Jie was playing on the SB side.
First attack went MOB's goal way, but it soon turned around as MOB started to attack on all fronts. As much as they attacked, they just couldnt get the right last finishing touch with Yiming missing a few chances due to the bounce of the ball on the bouncy AMK field.
The closest of chances when they came was when there was a good passing movement down the right between Aloy, Jasper and Zhi Yang, and Zhi yang with the cross in but Brian could only head straight at the keeper. Anotther chance came also through a corner, when Zhi Yang got in a nice floated cross to Irvin, but he could only spin it across his head backwards and didnt contact properly.
Min Jie also showed strange improvement in his goalkeeping skills as he kept out a point blank Yiming effort, pushing it past the post. We hope this improvement in reflexes would be reflected in matches FOR MOB.
However, things changed when a cross in by Raymond was scuffed by Weiliang, and it went into the back of the net, and as imroved as Min Jie's reflexes were, there was nothing he could do to the ball bouncing into the net.
1-0.
MOB had a new spring in the step, and started attacking yet again. SB could find some passes around midfield, and did get close a few times with striker no. 77 Zul with hardworking runs all over the place, and a bit of scuffling between SB 11 and Samuel MOB 7. Things stayed calm for now.
The second goal came again after Zhi Yang skipped past Weiliang and got a cross in and Jasper was able to run in and head the hard floated cross in past Min Jie. SB did argue the ball had gone outside and past the byline for a goalkick, but the goal stil counted (somehow) and MOB got the goal.
2-0 at Halftime.
After a very long halftime of about one and a half hours, the teams came on again with the spring in the step of MOB pretty much missing already after the long break. Must be due to the loss of momentum, and MOB did not do very much attacking.
Zhi Yang was moved up to a striking position with Yiming after guest player Jeremy came in at the right of midfield. The persistence of Zhi Yang and a very nice piece of flick-on heading by Gary combined to get the third goal for MOB. Long goalkick by Mitch into the centre of midfield was flicked on a good 50 yards by Gary, and there was very much confusion and bouncing about by the SB defence and Zhi Yang had to just hold off Min Jie and walk the ball into the net.
3-0
MOB's Gary also had 2 very close chances as both his headers hit the crossbar at ALMOST the same place on the crossbar after corners in by Yiming.
Things got heated up as Jon, playing against MOB because of the lack of numbers in SB and also a sudden change in loyalties, (hahaha) tackled a little agressively and started trying to break legs.
Jon was able to get on target for SB after Yiming was surprisingly moved back to CB and Irvin moving up to try to score. But yiming quickly showed just why he was a striker when he passed the ball to Zul who laid in on for Jon, who placed a shot past Mitch who thought he had gotten the first clean sheet for himself settled.
Things got reli reli heated when SB's 11 was bodied away by Sam, a legal body check, but got up quickly and started running after the dribbling Sam and whacked his heel. Sam stumbled, not knowing what hit him. Irvin was first over to confront the player, and alot of pushing about and shouting started, with Mitch running in to try to stand up for Sam. Zhi Yang, supposed middleman of this match along with Min Jie trried to stop the MOB players getting rowdy but could only get fuck-youed by Mitch. (you sonuvabitch!..but well..FIGHT YOUR OWN TEAMMATES! so good job mitch. thanks.)
The match was then called off and the two teams had to cool down a little before the player in the middle of the fight came over to apologise to Sam and they hugged each other and whispered little nothings to each other and made love..and..wait. hey wrong chapter. ok anyway..yea things were fine..and Mitch was left out of the romp.
Another win, another fight, and yet another day for MOB in SOCCER!
Killer Tomatoes 5 MOB 0
MOB's winning run of 3 games have been ended in empathic fashion by a Killer Tomatoes team that basically outclassed MOB, both physically and chemically. (?)
Game started off late at Bedok Reservoir Field bcs of the late referee..things didnt take very long to heat up. KT was attacking alot, and MOB was not very used to that bcs it is usualy the other way round. But the defence coped well, with CB Shaun coming in as a very stable central lynchpin defender for the make-shift MOB team, missing 1st team players like Sam (who missed mass..scolded by daddy), Yisheng, Irvin(stil out with ankle injury, expected to be out another 2 wks) and David Lee(will be returning from a fractured wrist in a week or so).
So MOB was playing the usual 4-5-1, starting Raymond, Mitch, Shaun and Aloy at the back 4, and a not-as-strong midfield of Zhi Yang, Zac, Gary, Jon and Brian. Yiming was placed alone up front.
KT was playing a very strong side, and they were getting very physical. Things reached the climax when the oh-so-noisy Wilson lashed out at Gary's tackle and punched him. Gary respectably kept his cool and didnt retaliate. Wilson was sent off for the rest of the 1st half. And it was only 5 mins recorded on the clock. serves him right anyway. field was pretty much quieter. Thank god and thank Ref.
MOB didnt attack much and failed to get balls to Yiming who was having a very quiet half. The only highlight was when thr was a small defensive glitch and Zhi Yang found space for a shot, but delayed and missed a golden chance.
MOB played a dangerous offside trap wich was breached by the KT striker and that was when they scored the 1st goal. Otherwise, Shaun and Mitch was commanding the defence very well. Ppl make mistakes, so dun worry too much bout it.
MOB didnt have man chances, off-form's Yiming's shots scuffed wide, Gary's drive tipped over by e impressive KT 'keeper. Zhi Yang also had a weak shot saved.
Basically, MOB's offsides failed and KT was able to capitalise on these failures and score another 4 in the second half to send MOB to a crumbling defeat. MOB was not playing at the top of the game, and as mentioned earlier, were outclassed in physical aspects. Mitch was already trying his best at the back, and these demoralising goals that kept going in is sure to get to the CB soon, and commitment sneaked away.
KT could haf easily been up 8 goals but they were very arrogant and very complacent, leaving chances for other players when these chances could haf been put away easily.
MOB was lucky to have left the match at 5 goals and with every1 walking stil alive on 2 relatively unhurt legs.
Guys, take this defeat as a lesson. Losing is part n parcel of soccer, if u cant lose(like Arsenal), then u cant win.(ALSO like arsenal.). I think that we've been put against the Killer Tomatoes too early in this stage, bcs we are stil finding our way as a team. But it has also been a very very good wake up call, humiliating as this defeat might be. It has shown us that even though we go about beating teams 7-2 and 5-1, there are stil many many teams out there much beta than us. So this is an inspiration, a call for us to wake up our ideas, put more commitment into the team, and let the passion for soccer wid the MOB take over you, and GO KICK BALL!!!!!
MOB 5(Sam, Yiming, Gary, Mitch [2]) - 1 Mattheads (some..guy)
Another fantastic performance despite the very muddy ground and disgusting weather conditions for the MOBbers. Although we had a numerical advantage (wel come to think bout it, it aint our fault they din haf enuff ppl. budget matts. hahaha tts good.), MOB was stil able to adapt the shitty conditions of the field and weather to pull of a well-deserved win.
Irvin sat out his 2nd match through his bad ankle injury and might be expected to be off for another one month at least.
Game started off with the Matts with 8 ppl and MOB with a full 11. MOB was presented with a chance to take a very early lead with this kind of handicap, and we did. The Matt Keeper was a brave lad, fast on the ball and runniing out very early to slide in at attackers as close as 10m outside the pen. area.
MOB, at first stunned by the keeper's ability was able to take advantage of this rash advances, and Samuel with a rare hardworking performance skipped past defence and keeper to bring MOB up one goal.
The second goal came pretty soon after as the keepr again took a big risk by running out to the advancing Yiming, who was playing up front now and with Zac dropping back to partner Jon in midfield. Yiming lofted a perfect chip over the keepr to double MOB's advantage and end his goal drought.
The sheer physical size of the Matts prevented much advances from the flanks, one-man advances especially, but these 2 flanks were able to overcome that by the simple play of passing. Sam and Raymond worked very wel together on the left, with Zhi Yang and Aloy needing to brush up on their teamwork abit.
Matts didnt attack much, and when they did, the very resilient and alert defence unit of Mitch and Jon was always there to stop them. Jonathan was playing very agresiively thruout the match, and like the keepr, took a risk with these tackles. Surprisingly he was able to walk off the field unbooked.
Mitchell then pulled off an acrobatic and high risk kick to make it 3 for MOB. Corner was taken by Yiming and as in came in, the Matt defence could only head it back towards Mitch who smashed it into the back of the net despite clashing with another defender.
It was 4 at halftime after very improved play by the right flank duo of Zhi Yang and Aloy. Zhi Yang played a short corner to Aloy who played it back to him. A simple passing movement was able to get Zhi Yang space for a cross into the area. The swinger was smashed into the back of the net by the midfield workhorse Gary. with his head of cos.
Matts then pulled one back after they got a free kick near the area. The unexpected shot was floated into the back of the net, as MOB expected a cross from the player. But stil a 3 goal cushion for MOB.
4-1 HALFTIME
MOB made good use of their numerical advantage over the Matts and gained a comfortable lead. Stil the cudnt sit back.
After halftime Jon evolved. He turned in to a freaking monster on the field, sliding right into players, sometimes gettin the ball, (with the player..thats ALL THE TIME), sometimes getting the man. He was very lucky to have not seen colors of the ref's pocket. the ref was lenient and very alert with his calls. Mitch got booked for an illegal tackle, his second in 2 matches. That, my fren. is NOT impressive.
MOB seemed to have sat back after halftime, i mean, who cud blame em? we had 4, they had one. Jon was one heluuva defence machine, MOB cud haf played 1-7-2 with him alone in defence, bcs he was simply sensational with his stopping of attacks. Putting his puny gay body on the line for the team, we all owe him a Colonel. (aldo he din reli seem to wan it.)
The Matt keeper never learnt his lesson from the 1st half blunders as he stil came racing out at very dangerous times. Again he was caught out, but Zhi Yang and Yiming were unable to make use of the open goal as complacency set in. Zhi Yang did get a good cross in at one time, but the keeper was there surprisingly.
MOB then rubbed more mud into the matts as Yiming put a good through ball for Mitch who dispossessed a defender and placed a low shot pass the keeper for his second goal of the day and MOB's fifth.
Brilliant performance lads, we did try passing, thr was the intent, but thr was also the shitty puddles and every good pass we tried to make, we ended up splashing water about with the ball. But the adaptation to the game and conditions were good, and we should not think we won becs we had more ppl. more ppl widout skill is useless. The Matts were much bigger sized, and very strong at that, so our trick, flair, passing, stamina and speed finished them off. You should all be happy.
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS......again! *yawn* its getting boring to keep winning. hehh!!!
MOB 7 (Raymond[2], Gary [2], ZhiYang, Samuel, Maurice)
PS 2 ( FK and shot)
Another performance of absolute brilliance and class by MOB ,missing Irvin due to injury, as they whacked PS (wel tts wot the frenli left back guy told me they were from) 7-2 with goals from Gary and Raymond, both with doubles, one each from Zhi Yang, Sam and Maurice. PS must haf regretted scoring the 1st goal becos MOB punished them with such severity they were left hanging..by..erm..their balls.
Game started off at the fantastic stadium of St Wilfred. The goal came after Jon came in a little too hard for the weak PS player and conceded a free kick. Keeper Min Jie was caught flat-footed and the ball floated in over him. 0-1.
MOB hit back immediately with Zhi Yang running down the right and Yiming thru the centre. A brilliant passing movement(1-2) betwn Zhi Yang and Yiming finished with Gary heading in his debut from Yiming's perfectly lofted chip. 1-1.
Not even the burning boots and steaming..erm..sun could stop MOB as they netted a second, with Gary smashing in Zhi Yang's corner after a mix-up in the PS defence. 2-1.
There were many other chances, one for Zac with a one-on-one but he was unlucky with his effort and could not make it 3 for MOB. Halftime came and the 2 teams headed to the benches, MOB notably more upbeat.
HALFTIME
After halftime MOB never let up their 1st half tempo, going right on the attack again. PS could only hold them back, and they didnt do it for long after Raymond also netted his debut after another brilliant passing movement involving Zac and..err who wassit? sorry, some1 pls tel me, ill add it in. yea anyway, it was an absolute screamer as Raymond caught the keepr out and put the ball into the top of the net. 3-1.
Raymond never has enough..erm. of goals i mean dammit, and he put in another low shot pass the keepr after being assisted again by Zac. 4-1.
Zhi Yang's neverending runs never went to waste after he predicted that Mitch was gona lose the ball after he ran almost half the length of the field. Zhi Yang picked up the ball after Mitch's loss of possesion, rounded one defender and placed the ball into the far corner of the net. 5-1. So u see, i didnt steal it, holmes.
The game became more and more relaxed for MOB that is, PS was already giving up. Sam was able to erm..overrun the defence and got it out to Zac, who played it back to Sam, who hooked it pass the stumbling keeper for the 6th. 6-1.
PS tried pathetically to get back in the game after a weary MOB defence carelessly gave away the ball and the PS player hit a low shot pass Min Jie, who was, for most of the time and thankfully for the stable MOB defence, relaxing in the sun and rarely called to action. 6-2.
MOB kept whacking til the end, and Maurice rubbed salt into their wounds when re robbed a PS defender and struck the ball into an empty net with the keepr stranded. 7-2.
MOB's defence held on til the very end and the final whistle blew. MOB were esthaetic wid the win and celebrated as the rain poured down. It was their best victory, the most triumphant official match win, with Gary, Raymond and Maurice all claiming their debut goals for the team. New signing Yi Sheng also did very well in the back four, and whenever Mitch screwed up, which was pretty often this game despite the score, Yi Sheng was always thr to spare Mitch the humiliation. AAAHAHAA!!! rite.
anyway, congratulations boys, we put up a great performance at a great field, and hopefuli we wil be playing back thr again after Irvin returns from injury.
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FREN!!!!!!
WE'LL KEEP ON FIGHTING TIL THE END!!!!!
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!!
